I've got a 3/4 1/4 beardie bitch here she's getting on a bit now but as far as an all rounder she's been a fantastic animal both fur and feather large and small, I was considering one more litter off her this year putting her back to a 1/2 cross beardie

Someone was going to say it eventually!!

Nothing wrong AT ALL with the dogs I've seen directly from hancock, or dogs bred from dogs from hancock. Going up this friday with my son to pick his pup up.

Seen a few over the years, NOT picking their runs, NOT stalking, and as keen on taking anything that any other type/cross is run at. And in my opinion, and what I've seen, the people that have owned collie x's, from anywhere, not just hancock, and have had little success with them, have been impatient and a bit clueless if I'm honest, and would have little success with any type of lurcher.

An old friend of mine and his brother, both good dog men, but both are no longer into the dogs, had 5 off hancock, and all 5 made very good allrounders, two being superb.

One guy that my son is in contact very regularly is now on his 14th, yep, 14th dog directly from hancock. Again, another good dog man. And before anyone says 'howcome he's on his 14th, were the others shit?', this is over 30 years and he's out practically day and night, so his dogs see a lot of work.

@ WHOME, seriously, don't listen to 90% of the bollocks written about hancock on here, there are plenty of people up and down the country with hancock dogs catching allsorts on a very regular basis. And of the ones I know, about 75% of them wouldn't even go near a computer/internet or whatever, never mind posting pics etc.

Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose

Like I already said on this post don't want to offend anybody all I was saying is that I don't want a Hancock or any other puppy farmer oops! I've seen lads with spaniels that catch rabbits and this is a testament to their owners it doesn't mean they have been bred with their best interests at mind and arnt just sold purely for cash. Work your dogs don't sell them because you don't work!!!! End of rant.

And folk are only saying you might struggle to get a genuine half X

Would you rule out one with a Hancock bred dog in its line

That's basically all I was saying is don't listen to, or be put off by what others say, or how hancock conducts his business. Nothing wrong with the dogs he breeds, or how the place is run. And if you want a genuine cross/type it's all there, and the breeding etc.

Looks a nice bitch that albert64

OK I love dogs and I love working my dogs and making sure they have a happy and for filled life so no I wouldn't rule one out that had Hancock lines if it was cared for and worked properly and it was what I was looking for. I said I wasn't going to get on to the subject of why not Hancock but I feel ive been forced too. So if your pro Hancock then why not ask him/her what their exercise routines are for their dogs etc
