Im putting this out there as some of you might be able to help.

Tomorrow Im fixing some wayfinding we've done at a Science and Engineering college. The wayfinding, the door names and number etc, is a 5mm piece of matt finish acrylic, 210 x 210, with applied white vinyl. Looked smart and used through the building.

Sound.

But the 'fkin kids have picked off the vinyl on most of them, and so Ive got to sort it out. Ive had some reverse white vinyl reprinted that I have applied to the back side of [exact size] acrylic which is clear, so the idea is to 'sandwich' the new vinyl in between the old black plates and a new clear plate, so it cant be touched. If that makes sense.

So, Ive got myself some chemical bonding adhesive, fine. I was ment to get a glass syringe, but not had the time, as anything plastic would naturally be bonded of course. Could I apply it with a natural hair brush? Any other ideas of what I could use to apply the solution? It will be just a small amount around the very edge of the plates.

The plates will be bonded flush with each other, and the adhesive drys absolutely clear. I was thinking of getting a natural hair brush, but Im not sure it will work as Im imagining.

Nice one.

Nice one admin. But I was hoping to get thoughts on what I can use to apply such an adhesive... Got some posh stuff from Germany that Ill be sniffin' after the jobs done, but need to get the job done first and Im not sure what to apply it with.

Could you apply that with a natural haired paint brush? Would it bond a normal paint brush?

Could you use a normal plastic syringe as the solution will be free from air so shouldn't go off that quickly.........................or will it??

If you go into ' The Range' on Valentine Park South, Valentine Rd, LN6 7BH, you should be able to get some decent brushes at very good prices.
