The local river to me is the Tees and I know there is definitely plenty of Otters further south on the Swale if you are willing to travel a bit in your quest. Fieldsporthunter 1,864 Posted June 17, 2016 Author Report Share Posted June 17, 2016 Well finally found a otter on the river wear and watched it for around 25 minutes. After 10 minutes it disappeared and I thought it had gone so started watching some ducklings then all of a sudden the otter came right underneath them and killed a one, then swam to within ten meters of me and ate it before carrying on fishing. It was a real sight. Only problem was I had my fly rod and not my camera. I did leave the otter fishing and drove the 8/9 miles home to collect camera only to find no otter when I returned until twenty minutes later it Swam from the bank I was on to the other side but by now it was too dark for pictures.
