Plucky1 1,119
King, don't listen to the nobs telling you they are ok, they are not !!! the graveyards around the merseyside area where I live are littered with dead lads that used steroids, we were gutted a few of us that did it the natural way seeing lads piling on stones of muscle with no more effort than us,a year or so passed by before the real side effects took place, apart from the normal rage and bad temper, spots, etc a few lads were locked up for smashing up their own houses, road rage, one lad was locked up in a mental institution and died still in there last year,he was sent there in 1978 because his nan never had his tea ready !!! it took about 15 coppers to arrest him, seen quite a few go over the edge, your physical frame can revert back but any mental changes are permanent, by the mid 80's many had serious illness and were dying, I have a mate now that used them as you say by lads in the know,he was advised by Mike Aherne (warrior), he now has diabetes and a serious heart condition needing about 30 pills to stay alive each day, he is 45yrs old, there were also many that never made that age and died waiting for heart transplants, we all have a "body potential" given in our genetics, steroids will advance any cancers or genetic potential defects that we would not get till old age, fact, is it worth it to look good on a beach for a few days each year, WM

I know loads more people who've had good experiences with steroids and the few who had bad experiences where idiots who brought crap and didn't do there research. So carry on with your horror stories but no need calling lads who don't agree with you.

Totally agree mate I can bore you with horror stories I've been told but they've all had one thing incommom miss use or abuse. There are risk with everything I know hundreds of people who have a drink and are fine but i know odd person who has ruined their life through miss using alcohol but nobody gets called a nob for saying alcohol is ok, so I took offence to being called a nob.
DogFox123 1,379
Don't think there's been enough research done to conclude wether steroids are the main culprit for all the deaths. Maybe all these people who folk on here know were going to get brain tumours, cancer, heart problems with or without steroids?
kanny 20,531
I will throw this one out there. ..do people think that lads who want to be huge have a illnesses like body dismorphia disorder?... each to there own and all that but it really is a mindset I don't understand...myself I'm 6ft2 slim athletic and wouldn't want to be anything else . Barbarian1990 220
Yeah I think its a massive problem. Lads who I've seen who's had a mental addiction to steroids have been short chaps or blokes who started steroids when really skinny once they got big they couldn't cope with losing size I first took steroids to help me lose weight by being able to train harder for longer and recover quicker. I've lost 4 stone and still got more to lose but I'm more than happy with getting smaller hahaha
