jukel123 9,018
http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/344770-ranieri/ Fair play to those who thought he was a good appointment. I have to admit I thought he would fail . I often don't agree with Gnasher and never ever agree with Wilf but they got that one right along with Malt and Dytkos.

gnasher16 30,591
Sometimes you just get the feeling a manager has the personality to suit a club Ranieri seemed a nice humble well mannered sort of chap who would go down well with a community type club with no big stars and big egos i would imagine he could really get the best out of players......whereas someone like Mourinho at a club like Leicester would probably make the players feel star struck and beneath him......id like to see Mourinho do what Ranieri has just done turn up at a nothing 2 bob club and win the league with room to spare......i think some managers just are what they are and you know what your getting whereas someone like Ranieri has new ideas and things up his sleeve. Rabbit Hunter 6,613
I totally admire Leicester and Ranieri for what they've done this season. But IMO it's a total freak and wont happen again for a long while. Look at the players theyve got Huth, Simpson, Albrighton etc theyve failed at other clubs theyve been at in the Premier League but theyve excelled this season. I think its still the hangover of Ferguson leaving Man Utd and the League not settling down that has given us such a strange season. When Ferguson retired I think that was Wengers chance to dominate the league and he's failed terribly. Next season reckon Klopp at Liverpool and Pochetino at Spurs will be the teams to beat. Paulnix 426
I not really follow football but he seemed to but smart and build a team that complimented each other and played the same way, rather than just spend money on players and throw them together, the more they cost the better and if that doesn't work they buy a few more like all the big clubs do. Football clubs seem to of forgotten how to build a team when they have some money to spend, bring in a foreign manager who's never done a lot apart from being foreign, you never got the impression any of the Leicester players thought they were bigger than the team and stayed humble right to the end knowing they had to earn a win rather than deserve it and the manager certainly kept that in their minds.
