Reshaping A Pro Sport To A Lefty

Recommended Posts

The thing is, fine PS stock in left hand variety... Looks mint. Still, the f'kin breech is right hand focused... So loading the sod will always be a mission. It's kinda up, over, down and in with the pellet on loading.

Not gonna get started on the AA's thinking with the PS. They clearly had no idea about there market.

I think I heard there was a mean, spiteful falling out within the management of Air Arms that has lead to the Prosport being produced and restricted to right hand only rifles. The head of the company is a left handed shooter. You'd have thought..... :whistling: Y'Know

There were left handed stocks in right handed actions released a for a short while then, withdrawn suddenly as they appeared. But these are unlikely to come up for sale again.

Fot the like of fellows like me, it's the boundless kindness and superb craft skills of our Jimmy here that is the only chance I have of owning this rifle in a form I can shoot well and comfortably with. I'll put up with the right handed breech for a left handed stock.

Started to polisher up Simon she has had a couple of wax,s and only two or three oil coats im not doing any thing else to her just in case i need to alter her for you

she may look perfect but she is not

still got some scratches on her but if i have to reshape her any way whats the point of taking them off

but as you know she will be right once iv set about her after the big fitting of your delicate hands on her pistol grip lol

ill bring it back with me any way strip and smooth and redo her for you any way you want

I have just seen a s/h Prosport in 'Air Gunner' magazine based in Birmingham, it's a .22, £350 with some unspecified Hawke scope fitted so if you are interested Simon or Jimmy. The bloke's tel number is 01564 826 594.

I don't normally read this mag, just don't rate it but I am on holiday so I keep flicking the pages whilst the fishing is bloody slow. Oh yes there is also a TX200HC s/h in the mag up in Edinburgh, another .22 with Hawke AO IR scope fitted, sling, AA pellets and targets for £350

That is the end of today's Sales news......................back to a bit of night fishing.

Just sent you a PM Jimmy. But, publically here, I can't thank you enough, again for what you have done for me here. I'm doing sums to see what I can do about buying a Prosport to fit it. I never ever, thought I would find myself having to be able to say that!

I'm going to put Helen's Daystate Huntsman Classic .177 rifle and Bushnell Banner 6-24x40 target scope plus hardshell, Daystate case up for sale to fund a Prosport. Mint condition, hardly used at all! (Women never use what they want and finally get!) Not even had a tinful of pellets through it yet. It'll be a cracking rifle for someone.

But that aside mate, I just have to record a proper thank-you for the great lad you are. :victory:

We'll get the gun sorted out as soon as possible.

God bless you and Nicola mate. We'll see you soon.

Simon and Helen xx

It is a 22 at the moment Phil

but alas once the testing is over the action has to go back

and the stock needs finished as iv not done it properly in case i need to alter it for Simon once im there

And i need to say a big thank you to TX,TURNBUL :signthankspin: a member off here for loaning me the action for the stock for Simon to test out

With out his help it would be a big expense for Simon if it did not work out

this way he gets to see if its going to work out for him and then buy the new rifle and change stocks
