Gaz_1989 9,539
Took the terrier a few weeks to get the hang of this. At first she wouldn't enter water at all, then she would swim but not fetch stuff, then she started fetching with the lurchers but would run off with whatever it was once she was out. We got there in the end though... https://youtu.be/iS96DnqaDQM 5 Quote Link to post

HedgeCrawler 224
Exellent video there.Just shows what abit of persistence can do.How did you get her entering the water to start with as having trouble with my dog avoiding it like the plague at the moment. Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Cheers C Green. Hedge Crawler I just put in her the shallow end by the bank, then took her through a few streams. The deeper ones. Then when she wasn't so bothered I chucked her in about 2 foot from the bank. She was soon jumping in for fun. Quote Link to post

Tiercel 6,986
Quite a few terriers enjoy the water, they just don't know it at first. he was 10 at the time the photo was taken and had been retrieving ducks off water for about 3 years. Before that he would not go near water. TC 4 Quote Link to post

Gives the bunnys a rest and keeps them cool too. Is that a collie X spaniel? Quote Link to post
HedgeCrawler 224
Yes springer cross working collie. Quote Link to post
