Not So Temporary Traffic Lights

There's been a set of temporary traffic lights on the next road up from us for at least a month. There's only a little bit of road coned off and no-one ever working there. There's also a sign saying cctv in operation, but I haven't seen any cameras.

 

I found out earlier what it was. There is a massive badger sett that goes under the road and the entrance is down beside it. The cameras are aimed right at the entrance to it, not the traffic.

 

That probably means the "temporary" lights will be there forever now.

Careful now, if you make too much noise driving over it you'll be nicked for disturbing a badger set

poof, nothing, gwynedd council had temporary lights by Rhydymain for nearly 30 years

Once got told a story off an old boy about a similar situation that involved a hi vis jacket and a spade.

I was just about to mention them lol. You would think shoring that road up would be bit of a priority

My dad got sacked from his job on the roads, for stealing. I had no idea until I came home one day and all the signs were there.......

What about the set on the road to Brecon from Llandovery. Been there for 3 years at least because the road is giving way
