It takes a strong person to detach themselves from emotion and look at things objectively, especially with very emotive subjects. Anyone who can do that I really admire, that does not mean I agree with them as we all have primal instincts that rule our thoughts, that's why we still hunt.

 

Retribution or revenge call it what you will, is an instinct inherent in all of us (you hit me and I will hit you back) and to override these instincts by dint of intellect is no mean feat. Again it does not mean I agree with it, but I can admire the fortitude it takes to go against popular thinking.

To be honest I don't really care about the judicial system, very rare they give out the right punishment, as for mob rule I can take or leave it. But one thing I cannot take is when scum like them get off, convicted yes, punished no.

This is getting a bit boring cause it sounds like I am disagreeing with every thing you write for the sake of it, but I have to say about what you have written above, one thing has f**k all to do with the other.

 

There's been a few cases where animal abusers went on to harm humans (like Eddie Kemper) but there are also just as many people in the world who wouldn't touch a hair on a bunny rabbits head but would happily cut your eyes out for giving them a funny look.
