Apparently 1910 footage of a Russian wolf hunt with dogs. Only short but quite good. Originally posted this in general discussion but probably better suited here.

Personally, don't like any form of wolf hunting myself, as the wolf is a wild dog, all dogs come from wolves, shame to see them killed, j.m.o. their is a lot more to wolves, that most people don't know about.

Disagree it's not part of the canis family like coyotes or wolves ,and is more cat like, hence why it was given vulpes Latin name.

Theirs a few modern vids on YouTube of wolf coursing in Russia but tbh mostly in bad taste and rather lacking in sport especially compared with the coyote hunting with sighthound types theres also a good account in a Theodore Roosevelt book of using bulldog x grey for wolf coursing

Exactly. Don't get me wrong, i am not an anti..lol..far from it, but i personally just would not hunt the wolf,as some wont shoot a hare..
