Some people are buying handbag dogs £800/1000 and them french bull dogs blue of course for over £2,500 and lads think £300/400 for a working line pup is a bit heavy, if your lines are right stud fees etc and the up bringing is right with jabs chips etc a good 10 week old pup with background has got to be near £300 cost price so some want to give their heads a rattle , preloved ,dogs r us isnt the place you will find a good pup, . Its been said before folk are entitled to ask what they want doesnt mean they will get it. Some running dogs the owners wouldnt let lads through the pen gate with £3/400 in their pocket. I suppose its how serious you are and what dog you want.

Like I said the price i wouldn't mind paying if it was a well bred pup but they are asking 300-400 quid for a pet lurcher cross a chavs staff my that just chews slippers.

if it was a working type dog, and going to be worked, gundog, lurcher, terrier , coursing dog, well i would the average price there fetching. but for just a pet dog, the pound= kennels dogs there are crying out for a chance of a life, and £ 40-50 quid , you get a healthy dog that prob got goodtemp, and out live any crap bred ped dog .

why people say they wouldent pay no more than £100 etc on a dog but will go and spend £100 on a lamp or anything for that matter baffles me i dont have much money but would not be botherd to pay £500+ for a well bred pup if its what i wanted, whats a couple hunderd pounds for something that could give you years of enjoyment

Just curious in what people think is top gear? Is it the stuff with all theese names behind it?

Problem with proper genuine working dogs is finding them proper genuine working homes where there wont get names behind them and splattered over Facebook ect.

Not really looking as not ready for a pup yet but I was shocked how many 300-400 pound litters where on there. I'd pay the money for the right dog but when your reading advert and it's something like. 3boys 4girls mum is staffyxwolfhound and dad is toy poodle x whippet and look like they've never worked a day in there life, it don't half grate a bit. Sound old now but I remember when litters where 100-150 from proper working dogs. There must still be some out there. Rant over hahaha

People who call whelps, boys and girls and parents mum and dad are usually c**ts anyway. Its a massive giveaway..

Top gear is usually stock considered to be potentially very good because its not only out of a very good bitch by a very good dog but its grand and great grand parents etc were also very good. The catch is these whelps are usually prized by the breeder and his cronies. My advice would be that if you allow money, distance or any other factor crowd your mind you will probably miss the oppertunity if and when it ever comes.Make the price the last thing you consider,it can have no bearing on the pups future ability, only breeding and nurture can...

Lads the last litter from trunks dog and my mates bitch was top class working parents, if it ever comes up again your not going to get robbed per pup. The money and the excuses made for charging it is what's exactly ruining dogs today. Personal greed, desertbred if it's big money coarsing stuff then you rich Arabs have more than enough money, but for a well tested line of fox controllers in my opinion 300 to 400 a pup is too dear, when we were in our teens and out hunting, we hardly had 2d to rub together but our dogs were fit, well fed and worked to the full. It's not all about money.
