Old Peugeot 406 2.0 hdi. I rate anything with hdi engine , the ones I've had in past have been bomb proof. Atb

For on the road motoring,.I find the Astra Vans to be extremely economical and cost effective

I have a octavia 1.9 tdi estate, the older pd engine, fantastic on fuel, often get up to 68 mpg. I don't hammer it mind. Loads of room in it as well.

Dog van is an old Vauxhall combo 1.7 diesel. 50mpg no problem.

Had one for years ,a great van. It was an ex Guinness reps van so had air vents on the roof, side and floor.

Out hunting one day a fellow said to me after I came out of a field that he might get rid of his jeep and get a Combo, LOL. It was true though, I got it into most places.

Subaru forester on lpg, very cheap to run 300 miles for £30. Good on road and great off road.

I Would never have another vuaxhall vectra as long as I live, they break more than they run. Had a corsa b 1.7D Isuzu engine they do them in the astra vans and they are good

Any of the volkswagen audi group are reliable and cheap parts.plus if you have half a brain and an avarige tool kit you can do most of the shit you're self. like gaz said get it remaped you will have a ball my missus leon fr pd150 is maped and a few other bits is quicker than a focus st/type rs you should see people's faces when you shit on there 20000 car in a 1500 heap lol but still gets 60mpg put the seats down and thers plentey of room for my 2 but if i was to get a car that was purely a dog wagon Passat a4 estate golf estate or a caddy van my dad had both the caddy 1998 and a 2003 combo van and the caddy was a far better work horse in my opinion the combo was shit maby we had a lemon who knows but I won't buy a vauxhall again bit thats just me .
