Dog Pics..

Recommended Posts

I have a relative who's a pro photographer and he may as well be Japanese for all the sense he makes when I'm on his case for advice!

Great pics!

Matt

It's not as easy to grasp all this camera jargon bud I don't think anyways lol,I'm far from having the highest IQ but I know for certain I'm nearer to the top then the bottom when it comes to intelligence so I'm putting it down to old age as to why I find learning difficult these days haha

My old 35 mil eos 100 had a barcode book of different scenarios you could scan them into camera and it would set it up then save it in one of the custom function slots had over a 100 different settings.

It was a great camera I just couldn't afford to use it like today's digital gear as in taking hundreds of shots in a few seconds.

Having to pay for film development sure made you check your settings.

Not very helpful I know Fuji but a mate has a good set up big grey coloured Len's cost him 2k though

Reckon your photos are spot on mate

If it's any consolation I used to use a 35mm camera with all the gear and understood it perfectly, but now I've got an all singing all dancing digital it's way too complicated for me to understand! But for what it's worth the basics of 35mm film cameras were that the brighter the conditions the faster the shutter speed and the greater depth of field you could have (the greater the aperture, the greater the depth of field). If light levels remain unchanged and you increase your shutter speed, you must decrease depth of field to compensate, and vice versa. If you want fast action shots in perfect clarity you want to go for a fast shutter speed, but the downside is that to get that fast shutter speed, unless there's lots of light your depth of field will be limited. If you want a big depth of field, unless light levels are bright, you'll only be able to get it at lower shutter speeds.

I have to say all the photos you put up here are already of a pretty high standard so you must be doing something right already! It might be worth asking Omanyra. He's a bit of a pro with a camera. If you've not seen any of his pics take a look through this thread http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/335514-out-ratting/ and you'll see what I mean.

Alternatively it might be worth going along to your local camera club. If you're anything like me you'll understand it a lot better if someone can actually show you in the flesh what they're talking about.
