this is why I keep something mate just in case in time people want to say stuff about the dog, I've seen videos of ur dog an doing the job well. People don't need to lie if there dogs doing job or not, if I had a jacker I would be honest if the dog was a yapper I would I'm not fussed what people think to be honest an wouldn't get rid of a dog if it did either it would be a pet an would get another pup. The proofs in ur mind mate shouldn't need to post stuff up ATB next season mate

Most people run dogs down that's not their own through jealousy.

Seen it a few times, out with lads that criticise how your dog works, but ends up catching more than they have with their dog on same night. See straight through it as jealousy.

Shame people are like it but each to their own. No one should need to justify why they keep what they do. Just enjoy your own. Atb

I see wat your saying but if antis wanted pictures they jus need to look at the books some lads are selling

As long as we ain't breaking the law I don't see the problem mate. Like you say the net is littered with pics much worse than a dog legally on a fox in Ireland 5 years ago. Lol.

If what trunk says is true then we shouldn't be able to show pics of a ferret on a rabbit or a dog retrieving a rabbit. World has gone mad.

foxes give bigger head lines than rabbits mate av had aload of pm with the admin on here an if you argue they ban you for a few weeks twice av been banned

The majority of folk that own a useful enough lurcher will have an idea what a dead fox looks like, the majority of them will never take a photo of the catch or post it on line. Why would they wish to?.The facts are that any picture posted on sites such as this can and will be used to illuminate our sport in a light we would not wish to be illuminated in.Im all for freedom of speech and the need to show the different hunting lifestyles and dogs that suit each and all, plus a few well captured shots of the days hunting activities, yet,we need to realise that some pictures are no longer acceptable, legitimate or otherwise,on an open forum. Its a fecking sad reflection of the times we live in now folks and until the ego,s on here and other sites, realise the reality of the times we live in,others will have to keep them in check. Its not a knock at their hunting lifestyle or mutts, many folk that trod the fields long before them hunted like them, without Mobiles and camera,s and still enjoyed the occasion.I see some of the threads on here and am enchanted by some of the action shots that portray our sport in the best possible light and long may that continue,i also see some that are more about the owners ego and portray hunting in an image many of us don,t wish to be associated with, even though we may have an hunting affinity.

You could say the same about a lot of things though Morton. Forums, Facebook and the Internet in general do us no favours, photos or not, and those folk that trod the fields decades ago wouldn't be able to comprehend the whole prospect of posting or writing about our antics.

Where does it end? You can write a book with details of events but not have photographs? Or you can write in code calling a fox "Charlie" or a hare "old puss"?

When we stop disscussing hunting on a hunting site we have lost out to the antis, like it or not, and this place will become the shooting and fishing website. If we are allowed to talk about that?

The ban is here, and here to stay. The only thing we can legally do with our dogs is hunt rat and rabbit on permission. That's not gonna get a great deal worse, and it sure ain't gonna stop me mooching if it does.

That's nothing to do with egos, that's understanding the reality of the times ?

The effects of the ban are more far reaching than banning certain hunting activity,it gives the feckwits and nuggets more license to practice their ill informed bigotry on an ignorant populace. As an hunting community we isolate ourselves from fellow hunters and will never unite to defend ourselves against the ignorant feckwits, the same ignorant feckwits that are united in dividing us and utilising every scrap of mis-information to serve their purpose. This mis-information is easily fuelled by the ego,s on sites like this that are fuel to their furnace. The best way to circumnavigate the feckwits is to breed the dogs you bred before the ban, nurture, educate and enter them the same as their ancestry, without the need to shout it from the fecking rooftops, with pics.

The best way would be to not post on forums like this at all, and should you come across a slightly "risky" picture not shout it from the roof tops. But hey ho. There we go.

It's one rule for one and one for another on here. I post what I want and there are mods there to moderate should they feel the need. I've never had a post or photo removed yet so I don't think there's an issue here.

Whats the purpose of being on a forum and not posting?,its akin to wanting the best from a lurcher and sourcing a BullX.The majority of folk on here hunt within the legal constraints of the ban whilst on line. When folk need moderating they are often the sort that the majority of hunters find issue with,at times,we all have our transgressions.
