slipper 116
Haven't got one mate ( yet lol ) but they are supposed to be the dogs Heard good reviews on them think the viper is more for air rifles and rimmies as I asked the same question The eagle or wolf have better range for center fires and I think there is another one out soon with a built in rangefinder Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
I have the nitesite eagle and absolutely love it. Used it on mtc viper, hawke nite eye and a Nikko stirling targetmaster all gave good results but the best was the mtc Imo. I currently use a minox zv3 scope on the .22-250 and a mtc viper on the .22lr and both work excellent with the nitesite. As slipper said you ideally need the wolf or eagle, I went for the eagle as I like to see out further but really still to 200 yards max at night and with NV it's easy to get them in close. I was watching a badger at a lasered 462 yards clear as anything with the eagle and mtc viper scope. Quote Link to post

sjy 16
Just googled the ns eagle, they do look a nice bit of kit,so cheers will go for the eagle, cheers sjy Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Think their going for around £850 mate. Another good bit of kit I've looked at but went for the nitesite is the sniperCam. Google sniperCam on youtube and you'll see some of his vids. Really impressive and a but cheaper than the nitesite. But for me I prefer the nitesite. But you may prefer the look of the sniperCam Regards Dan Quote Link to post

shropshire dan 467
Do you reckon they are a lot better than a nitesite? Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
The archer longbow says you can see foxes at 400 yards. So not quite as good as a nitesite eagle Quote Link to post

So not quite as good as a nitesite eagleare you for f***ing real it's gen 3 piss all over nite site shit any day I'm just going off the website mate. It says you can see foxes out to 400 yards. I'm not disputing it but that is what the website says. If it reached more than that they'd be the 1st to say I'd imagine. And that was the longbow model. I have no idea about night vision just know that the nitesite is preety damn good and does what it says on the tin. Appears that judging from what the manufacturer's say the nitesite on paper is better Quote Link to post
martyn2233 2,663
That's the longbow mate.have a look here I use mine as a spotter then attach to back of day scope no tv screen to light you up like ns do Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Nitesite don't light you up if you use the screen filters buddy. Looks like they do make a good spotter Quote Link to post
martyn2233 2,663
But why pay good money to use a bloody filter and the resale value will be shocking at lease with the archer you will get your money back if you go second hand look http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Starlight-Archer-Night-vision-Monocular-/222093517089?nav=SEARCH Bet it goes for about £1000 Nice saving you sell on later get same back Quote Link to post
