they do say...only the good die young...what with victoria wood 62 and now prince 57, sad how the hand is dealt!...it never weighs up, then you get some evil and wicked people who lives to a ripe old age...don't seem fair does it....

He used to ban his lower staff from speaking to him or looking at him,they had to relay anything to him through a senior staff member,he sacked an aid once for looking at his face.

Some of the rumours about him could just be exactly that....just as with Michael Jackson, who actually started many of the stories about himself.

 

There was the famous episode of changing his name to an unpronounceable symbol, (which simply turned out to be a dispute with his record label). There was the apparent obsession with the colour purple, his statement that "time is a trick" and the suggestion that he went without sleep.

 

He was a Jehovah's Witness, who themselves have some strange beliefs, but if he didnt deliberately build a persona of mystery, he certainly allowed it to happen.

 

All the same, like him or not, he was a very influential and prolific performer. And 57 is no age.........

they said on the tv this morning that he was a fantastic guitarist one of the best, and a brilliant musician, he could play a different array of musical instruments from a very young age, plus he used to write a lot of other top artists songs for them, just a few he wrote was....nothing compares to you, sung by sinead o connor, also chaka khan's, i feel for you..credit where credit is due,he was a very talent man,
