Ferret Stoat Or Weasel Required To See Off Unwanted Rat

Recommended Posts

Try the air rifle section I'm sure if anyone is close by they would be happy of the chance to sort them out for you

It don't matter where they are in the country, they will be able to hit the rats from their back garden......with a little adjustment for breeze and drop it won't be a problem.

You mean Special Operations Command, Air Rifle Tactical Division?   Just don't leave them alone in their Sniper hole, they'll tell you the Vaseline and tissues are for weapons maintenance...........

It's gone tits up in Huddersfield I've just overheard a transmission..... "Black hawk eye down"

If you're in trouble, if no-one else can help..........and if you can find them.........maybe you could hire.........

Well as long as we shoot the HARES and rabbits

there will be nothing left for you lot to get

and that will get right up your noses

Thanks for the replies guys. Shooting isn't really an option, this little fella I've never seen. Also, I suspect that there's a family of babies in there. Poison isn't an option either, the chickens will eat it & some of that's I've come across this year are immune. I really need a ferret, stoat or weasel.

Chickens need to eat a huge amount of poison to kill them, difenacoum/bromadialone is 1kg of poison per kg of body weight!

Rats generally are not "immune" to poisoning there is usually not enough poison in place to control them. Resistance is not common unless you live in cities like London or Birmingham. If it's a handful of rats then a small amount of poison will sort them out much quicker than buggering around trying to get a ferret or shoot em.

So is a .177 or a .22 best for this ?

Depends on the position of the moon and it's gravitational pull
And the coriolis effect and bullet drift and meteorology and geophysics it is airgunners after all (best not mention the calibre controversy).

LOL, I don't think anyone has ever flicked the lamp on and said "Oh f**k, the air rifle lads have cleaned us out!" LOL.

Don't take any of this personally. Air guns have their place but they do attract a certain kind of person. It's all tongue in cheek fella..........

Nice, then you can look forward to the center fire and open ticket lads taking the piss out of you for rimfires/FAC air and closed ticket and of course the dog lads will be calling you for being a fat lazy merciless 'rifle lad'!

See! No one is exempt from being ridiculed! LOL

I know lol

I use air rifles to hunt

some use dogs to hunt

some use ferrets to hunt

and so on and yes we call each other

to each other but if one of us falls

THEN WE ALL PULL TOGETHER AS ONE AND HELP EACH OTHER (except Andy Kelly)

so is it a bad thing in the end

I dont think so , we have a laugh , and a bit of banter

But we are all still twats lol :tongue2:

I like the air gun it's a perfect tool for putting small game in pristine condition on the table.. I just dont seem to share the same enthusiasm for the details that other air gunners do.
