C.green 3,231
Got a dog here keeps licking his feet and legs obsessively it's now starting to cuase abit of soreness he's advoceted regularly fed on Arden grange complete with plenty of raw feed well excersised. I've only ever seen this once before on a shepherd and this dog got so bad if it wasn't muzzled would lick the paw down to the bone. Anyone got any ideas what's causing this ? skycat 6,174
Yes, internal pain can make a dog lick the same place over and over again. But it could also be due to stress: is the dog stressed in any way? Is he a nervy sort or not? Or, is there some irritation caused by bedding/detergent/fabric softener or any number of external chemical factors?
