Fancied Sitting In The Seat For A Couple Of Hours

Recommended Posts

Was a bit bored this afternoon after work so decided to have a sit in my seat to try for a fallow or muntjac. This seat is situated on the end of plantation of conifer trees which overlooks a small 8 acre field. Was up there at 7 o clock probably a little early really for this venue. There was pheasants everywhere all scrapping over the hens. Wasn't looking like it was gonna happen so decided to just have a bit of target practise. Had 5 shots at 100 yards all within 4 inch circle was satisfied rifle was still zero'd so off home I went 2 mins around the corner on way home the field that backs on to my permission there was a herd of 30 or so fallow with 2 bucks one was black Buck which was rutting with the one I shot about 3 years ago nice to see he's still around he's not as big but really symmetrical couldn't help myself from turning around and heading back to the seat just in case one would make an appearance. But no joy this time, still nice to get out the house though ?

Help an old boy understand that, you shot one! Did you simply injure it and nurse it back to health?
