ryaldinhio 4,686
I think whatever they are doing they need to do it sharpish and get straight back up otherwise they could be another Leeds, Bolton, Portsmouth, Wigan. The list goes on. Leeds have been the ones that have proved for me that there is no such thing as too big for the league. Having said that Leeds cant go down far enough for me!!! ryaldinhio 4,686
Bad management to me, the players individualy are good enough for prem but just not together are they.
ryaldinhio 4,686
Just watchin MOTD and when asked about the feeling around the relegation Jolean Lescott said "its a weight off now so for the last four games we can play with a bit of freedom" WTF?! You have been relegated Jo lad, not secured safety! Weight off?? Play with freedom? Joker.

mattyg 1,862
Lescott and Richards are just mercenaries who needed a club, any club, gabby should be arrested for theft as he has stolen his wages for the whole season and guzan just ain't good enough. I'd have prefered to get relegated under sheewood as at least he had a bit of passion, bordering on cockyness at times granted. It's been coming since the o'neil era so nobody should be surprised. Looking forward to burton away on a Tuesday night in January! Lol Matt
villaman 9,983
God knows why we got rid of Sherwood , the best manager we had since John Gregory
stevo79 569
God knows why we got rid of Sherwood , the best manager we had since John GregoryI was just going to say the same thing, sherwood had passion by the bucket loads. Just what you need in a relegation battle. Can't see the sence in sacking him. Sad day for them, they want to make a short stay in the championship. Or we might not see them in top flight for a while.
villaman 9,983
I think it will take a few seasons before they are even ready to come back up ,or even longer
The Seeker 3,048
The championship is a very difficult league to compete in even with the parachute payments, I read some where even with the financial support less than 30% of premiership clubs bounce back the following season
mattyg 1,862
I don't think we will come back up at the first attempt! Simply not a bunch of blokes who want to play as a team!
gnasher16 30,251
Once you get your heads round it you,ll probably have a really enjoyable season i know i did when the Hammers went down it was great going to some of these shitty little grounds it brings back some realism and appreciation of what it was we all originally fell in love with about following our clubs without all the week to week drama of top flight football......its plenty competetive enough and they,ll need to get their troubles sorted lively if they want to come straight back up.....but i wouldnt expect a club of Villas size and stature to be rolling round the championship for too long.
