Big Cray Fish

just out of interest , I live near Blaydon (Gateshead ) can anyone tell me were I might catch a few in or around there , I tried a couple of ponds locally last week but only caught frogs , atb belucky

Probably the river that runs trough Sunderland but out in the sticks , the river tees is full ov them ,

Remember years ago we had an eel net down on the mouth of a river that runs to a small lake.We set the net around 8pm and checked it around 6am next morn,it was heaving with crayfish but only a few eel.The man that was with me took some just to try them out and later on informed me they were delicious,the rest we tipped back into the river.A few days later i was saying it to another man that does a fair bit of netting and he told me we were after throwing a good few quid back in the river,he also said that they migrate dont know if this is true but a wk or so later we done the same set and this time we had a decent haul of eels but only a few crayfish.

Was that the Eel net I lent to you a few years back .

There was no return spring on that net,lol,no this was just 1 of many the lad that was with me had.
