I'm only interested in digging my dogs-and hopefully breeding them to do what I ask of them-I find that the more you get out there digging with different folk the more I wish I never bothered imho-not long before they start talking about you behind your back etc- people bitch if you charge for a pup?so I gift them and they do the dirty on me.take them out-they go back and f**k up your permo-not interested in the politics of it all ,who's turn it is to dig or who's right for permo-that's why I can't and dont muff arse for a day out-they only turn on you in the end lol-all the years I kept myself to my self I did just fine.I enjoy going new places and testing my dogs in new places out of their comfort zone-most I've met are jealous fullstop-as if you don't deserve to have tidy dogs?it's in my nature to help folk out as I'm no cnut but still folk think they can treat me like one-I agree this site's not was it was-lots of lads don't bother now replying about days out because you only get shot down.my ten pence worth lol.atb dc

Same here.

Apart from a few trusted mates I'm a loner by choice, had a brief changes of attitude last year and invited a few lads out early on in the season to find one lad backtracked on my permission. Same shit different day. They are some good lads about and hopefully with it being a small world I'll find them and vice versa in time.

Yep, stick to a small tightly knit group .Ive said it before but sometimes ones greatest achievements are your own downfall ,like being too generous with mates mates and so on .That wont be happening again .

Fox dropper the mates mates is a good point, I'd rather loose all me dogs tomorrow than do to anyone if I like them or not some of the crap I've had in the past through mates mates.

Iv met a few decent lads along the way of here who I would jump to help out no problem ! Very tidy lads ! Dan and King being some of them !

I try my best to do what I can for people but some people iv met on here take the piss I will take anyone out usually like to see other dogs work and having bit of a chat while out I'm not a very serious person but I have had some lads texting me what their catching on the lamp or out in the day not even asking me then saying fancy taking me to this and this spot tomorrow lol like f**k I struggle to be nice then

As has been said on this thread good and bad every where but from my experience the running dog scene is wors coz it's easier for wankers to hit and run your permo

It's just a shame when it's so hard to get anything descent when you have you try not to but can't help but being weary yourself of who to trust and worst is when u r honest good lad an can't get your foot in the door I feel for the good young lads trying to get something descent now it's very hard luckily I am well past that stage dogs an age lol all I can say is good luck an if you won't it bad enough it will come lads

When I started off as a complete totally naive novice, I found that I had to move in big circles that got smaller as I "learnt", unless your lucky enough to be in the right circle in the first place.

good and bad,had lads come to mine who will never come again,but also had lads who i would dig with tomo,i invited a lad of here and he knows who he is,got an invite and brought 3 lads with him without asking he was sent home and will never return,now thats a idiot for ya and you know who you are

I've had similar Taz.

One lad was coming out to me from Dublin when some other lads asked him where he was going and they came with him.

So it ended up that 4 lads, 7 lurchers and one small Jack Russell came for a hunt.

We were digging to one of my terriers and I looked up and here the lads had a line formed across the field and were walking it for a hare.

I do not miss those days.
