king 11,972
And can I just say, out of ALL lurcher types, which incidentally, I don't cosider bull x's as such, that you COULD NOT pay me enough to own one. Don't care what anyone has to say about them. They ARE NOT lurchers I totally agree with you shaaark. How lads can say they are lurchers is beyond me mate. Useless lumps n good for nothing. Pedantic and controversial my posts/comments can sometimes be. But bite, you will not get out of me, oh bull cross owner lol.Edited to add, I will say it til my dying breath, bull crosses are NOT lurchers, and as you've just said king, are useless lumps of nothing, that offer NOTHING to proper lurcher work Shaark was you ever molested by a bull cross owner lol or did you catch the missus in with one you owned lol, there is therapy available ,go out and catch some foxes with a good one and release all the pent up anger mate . Wouldn't even waste my breath trying to catch anything that some deluded muppet might try to with a bull cross. Will keep my energy, enthusiasm and sense with a proper lurcher . Eited to add, yet again, catching foxes is NOT really lurcherworkYou been on the glue bag 1 Quote Link to post

Phil Lloyd 10,738
Whippets are often underestimated as hunting dogs,... In fact,..they can often enhance the breeding programe of a purist rabbiteer Some specimans have an inate desire to catch their quarry,..their prey drive is litteraly, through the roof... As a daytime coneycatcher,...they take some beating... Edited April 13, 2016 by Phil Lloyd 8 Quote Link to post

As a daytime coneycatcher,...they take some beating... agreed. as I've said before, nowhere in a greyhounds lineage will you find dogs bred for nose, intelligence, trainability or dogs that will take a bit of stick. Granted they do add prey drive, height and speed. But every other good trait is borrowed from the breed they are x with to create a lurcher. I think they are definitely one of the most underrated hunting dogs. 1 Quote Link to post
