OldTrapCollector 377
I never usually 'show and tell' with traps from my collection, but I thought that this old mole trap I got recently might get you 'moudie-men' a bit excited ... Dating from mid-1800s, all hand forged OTC 9 Quote Link to post

Bosun11 537
Very impressive, like Darcy said, you'd have to have a few bob to buy that back in the day. Quote Link to post

OldTrapCollector 377
Impressive looking trap OTC - A work of art. Not quite sure how it actually catches/ stabs the mole? Can you explain? I don't want to set it to show you in case it breaks. Basically, the Spring is depressed by pulling on the top handle, which allows the treadle paddle to locate in the notches at the rear of the trap. The trap is pushed into the ground using the rear spikes with a foot, once set, over a collapsed mole run. Once triggered, the five spikes on either side push through the soil to impale Mr Mole 1 Quote Link to post
