Guest SJM
Me and Chester had a day retreiving shot hares with the keeper today. The weather wasnt ideal, but we made the most of it and we managed 10 retreives spaced out nicely between the dogs. The pic isnt very good but thats cos I never took it Quote Link to post

Guest SJM
yes some of them could fairly run even with a bit of shot in them, the first bit we did was rough grass and they run better on that than on the heather. The dogs were off retreiving individual hares and 4 got up from the one wee patch while they were carrying back A couple at the top were pretty much pure white. Its actually been so mild for the time of year I think that might have something to do with it? I can mind ferreting a few years back and it was minus 18 you dont get weather like that now I have sent you a pm Quote Link to post
