Fineren Body Grip Trap

Recommended Posts

You mean the box.....the trap is a BMI...

Yes, they do look rather good.......

The BMI traps - use already.

How the box actually performs, looks a nice neat set up.

Could be useful having a couple, was asking on here first as folk may have used them and have feedback

Its not particularly customer friendly though - there's mummy sitting at the breakfast table having a nice cuppa, laughing at the squirrel playing about running over the box then looking up again and seeing it hanging there having spasms. The bird box style is somewhat more customer friendly don't you think? I can see an open bottom box working in spaces not visited by anyone, but using them somewhere the public can see them is definitely a No NO

Any other box styles out there for bodygrips that don't leave the squirrel hanging there in full view?

Of course in Wales we need to use a 110 not a 55 to be legally compliant.

I would have thought the box is long enough, so that the squirrel is not seen when caught, and is fully contained.

Have got 2 of the bird box squirrel traps - look good. Purchased from JC Wildlife @ £25 each better value than fourteenacre

The birdbox style certainly do a good job and are nice and discreet, got my ones thru John as well

I saw a video of the Cornish one and the squirrel and trap definitely dropped down with squirrel convulsing all on show, maybe it was demonstrating the fact it could catch them, You could probably stop it by putting in a reduced entrance or funnel in it. Though I think the idea is that if squirrel is hanging down you have a good visual indicator so saving time which is great in areas that public does not venture

Have got 2 of the bird box traps out at 2 different locations along with tunnel traps also from John. The tunnels always perform well, but as yet no catches in bird box?

Maybe just to new and need weathering/squirrel smells before they will work well?
