Promise not to repeat this post another six times mate lol.
trigger2 3,198
i just had a quick look on google and saw a 5 step guide step 1 remove all existing turf step 2 add base layer of sand step 3 level surface step 4 add membrane step 5 finishing touches i dont see why you would need a membrane as the arificial grass would do the same job as the membrane. The membrane helps keep the weeds out.

skycat 6,174
With no membrane you eventually get stuff growing through it: I should know. We just banged a strip of astro turf down on earth a few years ago: it is on the path that leads down the garden between two 'human' bits of our garden. It now has grass growing through it and even an elder tree!
bob84 189
It only a small area its to replace slabs where the kids pool does go in summer as the rest of the garden is dogs runs or gravel so the artificial grass might be easier .

David Aiken 253
Its a bugger to keep! If you've a dog and it wees or poos, you'll need sanitising fluid. Pigeon poo sets like cement! Leaves and feathers stick like shit to a blanket! I look after a garden of astroturf, its about 60`x `, I got twice a month for 4 hours to keep it looking its best at a cost to my customer of £4000 per year!
