but the first coat brings out all the grain and the flecks

 

plus the old dark parts that are staying in her

 

if im honest i think its nice to have a bit of old and new mixed into one

 

it looks good imo

Im going to true oil her just as i did with the SMK stock i think it gives a nice finish to the stock

 

The oil and the stain are made from the same company

Second coat on now lads and the gold flecks and gold lines are coming up a treat more than there was before

 

one more coat then she will be on her way to being oil,d

Yes i did Mitch but very lightly so not to cover the gold flecks as Simon wants them all on show
