What A Stink!!!

Recommended Posts

Was called out with the terriers a few years back to a polecat under a chicken shed and could smell it long before we got to the shed. Having kept ferrets myself I know they have certain smell about them!! This morning the terrier was mooching in the garden and suddenly dived into some long grass, she came out with what I thought was a small rat, she took off through the back door and when I got in the smell was fu**in unbelievable. Turns out it was a weasel which was just alive. Anyone ever experienced this before? my mate says it was probably a male and it has pi**ed in the kitchen, I just hope it doesn't last lol

I was out ferreting once and bolted a stoat and the lurchers got hold of it when it was comming out through the net, they couldn't stretch it to kill it because they had hold of the net as well but that net stank for weeks and weeks afterwards and although i used it i never caught a rabbit in it again and ended up burning it because that stink just wouldn't ever go.But the stink i met today on a cub call out was something else as the first thing i pulled out of the earth to let the terrier squeeze in was a rotten piglets head :bad: and that had me gagging for a bit  ..

Polecat were called foul marts years past for good reason .Mink in a frenzy is the most powerful thing I've smelt .Not seen one for a year or two now.Terriers caught one in 4 inches of water last one ,just before a huge culvert going god knows where .Don't forget to add mate that of course it was an accidental catch .
