Haiddheliwr 1,911
Smelling Weasel!!!! Quote Link to post
Haiddheliwr 1,911
Was called out with the terriers a few years back to a polecat under a chicken shed and could smell it long before we got to the shed. Having kept ferrets myself I know they have certain smell about them!! This morning the terrier was mooching in the garden and suddenly dived into some long grass, she came out with what I thought was a small rat, she took off through the back door and when I got in the smell was fu**in unbelievable. Turns out it was a weasel which was just alive. Anyone ever experienced this before? my mate says it was probably a male and it has pi**ed in the kitchen, I just hope it doesn't last lol Quote Link to post
Haiddheliwr 1,911
lol the terrier has had a boot up the arse already, why run in the kitchen ffs!! Terrier back in shed and kitchen smelling like a tart's handbag x cat's litter tray. Hope it goes before she gets in, good day to go for a mooch over the fields lol Quote Link to post

fireman 11,044
I was out ferreting once and bolted a stoat and the lurchers got hold of it when it was comming out through the net, they couldn't stretch it to kill it because they had hold of the net as well but that net stank for weeks and weeks afterwards and although i used it i never caught a rabbit in it again and ended up burning it because that stink just wouldn't ever go.But the stink i met today on a cub call out was something else as the first thing i pulled out of the earth to let the terrier squeeze in was a rotten piglets head and that had me gagging for a bit .. 3 Quote Link to post

Haiddheliwr 1,911
Can't get over the smell that something so small could give off ( around 5-6 inches long ). It was a male and the terrier is having a wide berth as well 1 Quote Link to post

Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Polecat were called foul marts years past for good reason .Mink in a frenzy is the most powerful thing I've smelt .Not seen one for a year or two now.Terriers caught one in 4 inches of water last one ,just before a huge culvert going god knows where .Don't forget to add mate that of course it was an accidental catch . 1 Quote Link to post
Treehands 1,417
A good few years ago we were lamping off the van in the Coventry area, coming back from a run the two lurchers took a mink. F..k me , enough to make your eyes water. Jet washed the inside an still stank. 2 Quote Link to post
