Hehehe, with all of this 'hullabaloo' about dubois and parker etc, I showed my Mrs quite a few clips of dubois' press conferences etc etc over the last 3 years.

Her reply to me, 'should he be allowed to fight, he seems to be a bit backwards?'

I have to agree with her.

He's never without Frank Warren to speak for him.

Parker just comes across laid back and chilled to me ...Dubois on the other hand, you just know he took all his subjects at school in one classroom....

He's a pure mandingo.

50-60 years ago, he wouldn't be allowed to fight.

I think he's another 'dad's creation'. Kids who are forced? Into pursuing their dads' dreams. His old man made him do press ups for hours at 7 years old. He reared him to become a world champion.

Fury was another to a certain extent.

There's a lot of it in sport: the Williams sisters, Thierry Henry, Tiger Woods all reared to fulfil fathers' ambitions. When it works, it works well, but I can't help feeling they miss out on being their own bosses. In the end it's not good mentally.

But when you're a multi millionaire maybe you can put up with it.😀

I never saw the resemblance between Mike and his father, Cus Tomato.

It's obvious. They both exploited people when they got a chance.

Old Cus was a was a character alright, quite an achievement having the two youngest HW champions of all time.

Yep. But I don't buy the myth that he took underprivileged kids under his wing for their own sakes. Both parties profited. I think Teddy Atlas was part of his stable too. He talks a lot of sense.

Kin el, I'm glad I'm just a casual fan these days  otherwise the whole lot of the turkey shaker THROWING money at his favourite boxers FOR HIS OWN BENEFIT would probably get to me!! Hehehe.

He was obsessed with boxing mate, it was his life. Of course he wanted something out of it, he wanted world champions. When Tyson came on the scene he was elderly and knew he didn't have long left. He probably did let Tyson get away with things that the other kids couldn't get away with.
