Might not be a popular opinion, but I honestly believe marciano would struggle with a few of the 70's top heavyweights.

Fit he might've been, but he didn't have the best footwork.  Also, let's not forget the mafia.

He would struggle with the sheer size of the heavies but would smash the cruisers all over the shop, however he overcame all the odds every fight die to his size disadvantage or was it an advantage to getting in close and breaking ribs and wearing them down, look at dempsey vs willard

I get what you're saying, mate, but dempsey was a beast, and Willard really wasn't.

Just to put things in perspective, marciano at his peak, weighed less than 13 1/2 stone.

The early cruiserweights were 13 stone 8lb.  Now they're 14 stone 4lb.

I know I'm going to get flack for this, but it needs saying, marciano WOULD'NT live with Joe frazier, or anyone like him.

lol shaark lol

how heavy was ali a stone heavier ?

and he got splattered  by henry cooper who was about 13 stone and cooper was no marciano ffs lol so that blows the struggle  with 70s heavyweights out the water

Mine is marciano, he was the most conditioned heavy ever, both had a pit bull do or die attitude in the ring both top class and belong in the top 10 all time greats, but and its a massive BUT, marcianos power, like foremans, im afraid would ko frazier and would have him doing the chicken dance, even ali said marciano would have beaten frazier and maybe himself, again its only my opinion but what a fight it could be

Thats a fair opinion and one i wouldnt argue too much against.......i just think when all of the physical attributes of strength / endurance and all the mental attributes of determination / will to win etc etc are fairly equal you then have to look to sheer talent and Marciano certainly wasnt the most polished fighter he was defensively open whenever he threw and Frazier for me with that low to high style and his constant upper body movement would of exploited that,he was a more precise puncher than Marciano......likewise,only an opinion and a great match up it would be.

Its hard to separate the two both capable of winning it on the night, although with fraziers up n down movement i see it working for about the 1st 4 rounds before the rock starts cracking fraziers ribs and liver to stop him doing it, again just all pie in the sky stuff lol

did the greatest of all time muhammad ali have an exhibition against a jap wrestler while he was the reigning undisputed heavyweight champion gnash ?

By the way something else that always slips my mind when lads like you try to defend Fury is that Ali defended his world title 4 times during the year he had that exhibition against a wrestler !

Fury is having an exhibition INSTEAD of having title fights.
