pesky1972 5,361
Fast Eddie on IFLTV saying Canelo v Jake Paul would generate over $200m. This most noble of sports has been turned into a circus. Between the constant top-billing of these Youtube champions and the whoring of some of the best match ups to the Saudis, I’ve lost a lot of the interest I had in watching boxing. Pretty depressing when a lot of the younger generation will now aspire to be the next world champion gobshite like Jake Paul, rather than an honest to goodness boxer who lives the life and tries to do it all the right way.

I'm sick of hearing in boxing and some people in MMA about how much a fight will make . Stuff like that should be kept in the board room

Well said. It's a piss_ take. The pimps and hustlers have brought the noble art into the gutter. Edited February 6 by jukel123

Same as the footie its just going to push more and more genuine knowledgeable boxing fans towards local and small hall shows and leave the casual/theatre types to fill up the arenas. Anybody remember Kenny Anderson? He fought George Groves. The ref stopped the fight far too early and he then beat Robin Reid for the world title. He dedicated his whole life for that chance at the title and the next day he had the title taken from him on a drug test. He never fought again and got himself into serious problems with the law. I found him a very decent fella. He had a great career to look forward to and then nothing. Edited February 13 by jukel123
