Boxing At The Weekend...

Recommended Posts

It's not a case of Hrgovic or joyce being overrated but a case of zhang be underrated...joyce needs to stay away from capable southpaws they are all wrong for him zhang was able to neutralise Joyce's jab and was quicker with the straight down the pipe left that joyce is with the right...I had joyce as favourite I thought he'd weather the storm and come on late as zhang faded but it wasn't to be, that's heavyweight boxing for you.

Joyce a big stiff idiot, big bang zhan alot better and robbed in the Czech fight

Never been a fan find him a flat footed plodder a poor heavy weight division has put him higher than he ever should have been really a decent fighter would have always found him out his chin has always been called solid but get a dig off a big hitter always goin to wobble most chins

Just watched the zhang hrgovic fight, twice, with the sound off, not to be sidetracked lol.

Was impressed with hrgovic's punch resistance, as zhang caught him with several shots that would've seen most heavyweights flattened!!

Good scrap, to be fair.

sparring in 18oz gloves with a head guard on will dampen that wilder right hand

Havent been to the Copperbox for a while and its a venue ive always liked so got over there last night mainly to support little Sam Noakes who had a nice win....Joyce i think paid the price for relying on his physicality....no head movement, doesnt really try to avoid getting hit.....durability and toughness will only get you so far i cant for the life of me understand why he invested in whats his name Salas his trainer if he's not going to learn how to box its such a shame as he's relentless going forward but so predictable in his movement and punch picking......then again it could be said thats the risk in taking fights with dangerous opponents, its a shame a few others simply refuse to do it !!

Anyway bollocks to the heavyweight farce all i care about now is the boy Ryder id give my left bollock to see him get a win on May 6th,squeaky bum time that will be,its hard to see him pull it out the bag but stranger things have happened,if im not wrong John H Stracey from these parts was the last Brit to take a world title out of Mexico and that was nearly 50 years ago !

Not being funny Gnash but how can anyone talk about people ducking fights or not taking risks when Canello is getting in the ring with a lad like Ryder? In his home town? Like sending someone to the firing squad, poor state of affairs that for me. Hats of to Ryder like for taking it, it'll be a story for him about when he lost, but there is many more fights canelo could be looking at. Equivalent to Fury taking me on in his local gym, apart from Ryder got no chance.
