Not boycotting it over price, 20 notes is peanuts.  But your second post, above, along with a few other posts that I've read, and agreed with, are the main reasons I won't pay to watch another fight.

The last few years especially, boxing, as far as I can see, has become a bit of a disappointing joke, be that through the promoters, boxers that evade each other until it's too late, you tube nobodies that can get a fight because they have so many 'internet followers' or any or all of 5, 6 or seven other ridiculous excuses.

Sad to say I've become very disillusioned with boxing.

Would even say I'm not even a casual fan, these days.  Despite my opening post asking about this fight.  Lol.

What i was saying mate is ultimately a fight is a fight.....i,ll pay to watch 2 average pros have a 6 round competitive fight at a small hall show same as i,ll pay to watch the " big fights "....its the story of a fight inside the ropes and how it unfolds that i dont mind paying for.....all the sillyness and politics of boxing i have no real interest in.

Where i think a line is starting to be crossed is by putting on fights that are not based on competitiveness but solely on personalities and the " rivalries " they can drum up to disguise the fact that the fight is not competitive......you sound like my generation of boxing fans and sadly we are in the minority....the priority for these promotions of late are how many " new " eyes can we bring to the sport, even if it compromises the competition itself, hence for me at the highest level here in the Uk the sport is starting to cross the line.

Yep, agree with that.

It's been quite a few years since I actually went to watch any tournament or competetive bout.  Really have lost any 'real' enthusiasm for it.

As you've previously said, and again above, the politics and silliness involved with it all, has now got too much for me personally, to try to get my head around.  Lol
