Thing is though if Fury had not beaten Wlad then Joshua would not have had the chance to fight and then win the IBF title. Had Wlad won he would have kept all the belts and Joshua would have been at the back of a long queue to fight him. I didn't agree with the IBF stripping Fury of the belt as after all they had been paid the sanctioning fees but although unfair to Fury who won that belt fair and square in the ring,by stripping Fury of that belt it has generated a lot more interest in the heavyweight Division. I think the time has come where boxing has so many belts available that nobody really pays them much attention any more.......at the end of the day a fight is a fight i think we are now getting into times where the fight itself is far bigger than the belt thats being fought for whether thats a good or a bad thing i dont know.......if Joshua fought Haye next week in a non title bout i guarentee it would sell quicker than Fury v Klitchko for a,b and c belts on the same day.....look at the way Golovkin is chasing a non title bout with Eubank Jnr or the way all the heavyweights wanted to fight Joshua belt or no belt.......its a shame but the belts were always going to be de - valued eventually. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
