^varmints^ 0
Hi All, i would appreciate info on a scope for rabbit shooting, im looking a great quality optic so far im considering swarovski z4i, meopta artemis 2000 and the zeiss conquest. Any info on a similar scope 3-12 mag would be useful.
Paulnix 426
I use a Nikko stirling 6-24x50 and in low light it works well, I looked at a Zeiss and Swaro did like them but as I was going to use an add on NV I went for the Nikko as the cheaper glass supposedly works better with add on NV and I am not disappointed as it is a good scope in any light. Deker 3,478
Spend what you like but not many need to push the boat out that far for rimfires. I have never missed or refused a shot because of the scope. The most expensive here lists about £300, the rest around £150 or less.
IanB 0
If your going to spend money on quality optics, why not get a Hawke Sidewinder scope or MTC, etc, then a digital add on like a Ward 700. Best of both worlds, then you can use the add on to see at dusk clear as a bell without any torch right until night fall, then just add an IR torch and your good for night shooting upto 16x mag if needed. Deker 3,478
There is of course the Simmons WTC 3.5-10x50, available for around £
foxtrotoscar 35
I have a S/H Swarovski 6x42 on my HMR. I don't like mucking about with mag or parallax when shooting off sticks and find this is fine for the HMR ranges I shoot out to for rabbits, plus nice simple duplex type ret. Obviously a good steel body able to take a knock and not expensive S/H. I paid a £250 for this.

oxo 495
As above i would not waste my money overscoping a rimfire, the point of these top end scopes is eeking out every minute of available light for deer etc No need when you can use NV or a lamp with a rimmy, i had a Burris Fullfield 11 scope on my 308 before the Swaro, they are a cracking buy for a couple of hundred quid
