Grass Seeds ?

just put them in , well the wife did, and got soaked lol, how long does it take for them to grow from start to finish :thumbs:

10-14 days till you'll see shoots .. And you do know grass is never finished growing dont you :laugh:

I like the "well the wife did" disclaimer,use that in your defence if the door comes off.

As Taz said Ray, two weeks mate but stay off it.

 

If anyone else is thinking of sprucing up their lawn, now is the time to do it.

Dead easy too, first mow your lawn, then spike your lawn with a garden fork, especially were it needs it.

Mix a cheap bag of compost with a bag of topsoil in batches, mix in some grass seed (you dont need loads) then spread it over your lawn. Brush it in (with a brush!)

And try to stay off it for about three weeks...! ;)

thanks paul + lads , she done all that lol , will leave it alone for 3 weeks , i will just be careful when i cut the rest of the lawns :thumbs:

Home bargains do the seed compost and feed mixes ready to scatter on the lawn too very cheap.

Write it Scouse Gnipper, Home AN Bargain..! ;)

 

That stuff is good but you got to keep it moist, if it drys out (not in this weather!) It blows away.
