Dead easy too, first mow your lawn, then spike your lawn with a garden fork, especially were it needs it. Mix a cheap bag of compost with a bag of topsoil in batches, mix in some grass seed (you dont need loads) then spread it over your lawn. Brush it in (with a brush!)
