Guest ferret
my season has started with the dreaded myxy,in the summer there were plenty of rabbits everywhere on the estate,we had a mile trip there a few weeks ago and i found out that the neighbouring estae had put the myxy down because of the over population of rabbits on their partridge shoot, why dont they allow the likes of myself to sort out the rabbit problem, the reason is the boys going onto the land without permission in the night with running dogs.it has ruined my season, simply because the ferrets catch easy and then you are digging down to rabbits which you cannot do anything with, its good to know that the partridge and fez which the guns miss on the other shoot fly onto my estate ready for a xmas trip up there with our guns.good hunting Quote Link to post

If they are openly admitting to spreading it then they are on very thin ice. f****n b*****ds for doing such a thing anyway. Altho it isnt the first time Ive heard of drastic measures to stop people poaching. I know someone who shot about half a dozen hares in one field and left them there for the crows so that folk didny run there dogs there. Quote Link to post

mooster 1
Lots of my best warrens have been affected but I get a lot of sport from taking the odd rabbit in small isolated, hard to net warrens. I suppose ferreters are natural oppotunists! Quote Link to post
