Looks to be a be a bit of spaniel in there going by the ears maybe golden cocker x some type of terrier a patterdale maybe?

We have a winner, apparently... They are brothers.... And are pure patterdale only

maybe theres no such thing as pure patterdale thats why their called black dogs, chocolate and red dogs they come in a lot of shapes and sizes from 8 pound to 30 pound with every type of coat , hopefully thats a good thing bred for ability and not looks. There was several different breeds used at the time they were created to make a type i wonder how long it takes before we can call them pure bred they are at least 50 to 60 years around now hopefully never or that will be their ruination.

Took a lift to a show one time when I was a teenager with a lad who had a black fell terrier for sale. The terrier was as nice a type as you've ever seen.

He sold it at the show for £80 which was a couple of days wages at the time.

He told me after he sold it that the dog was a black fell X schnauzer cross. I couldn't believe my ears.

I went around the show looking to tell the new owner but never found him. I'd have been walking home but I hate that crap so no apologies.

That's why you only deal with those you trust.
