Lost alot due to dogs/hunting,I put it before many things inc work,I regret nothing for at the time I thought it right & proper..marriage,relationships,work nothing other than my kids came before

Good title to your thread...great way to think.   It is usually the other way round!

Iam a self employed gas fitter so iam lucky enough to work my dogs every day, i dont book my first job untill 10am, this allows me a mooch before i start or a couple of hours on the lamp if the weathe

I leave the house at 7:00am and return home at around 6:00pm.

I walk the dogs once (in the evening when I get back from work) but my mrs walks them in the afternoon. If she can't walk the dogs then we have a dog walker who takes them out for £7.00 around 1:00pm.

My dogs are happy with 2 hours exercise a day mate. Got a Bedlington/Grey/Whip & Pedigree Whippet. The whippet can go all day without anything but the Lurcher needs to run

Hope this helps

When I was on shifts we worked 1-8 afternoons that was a good shift but it only ever came round once every 3 weeks. Now I work days 8-4. I can lamp all night long then have 2-3 hours kip then back to work.

Often when on shifts I went straight from lamping to work with no sleep it was a killer but lamping is my passion and I wouldn't give it up.

Also when working shifts I had time to ferret in the day time when on nights but now I'm on days the ferreting took a back seat unfortunately.
