jonnie bravo 572
Good test that. Faps doing well, reckon they might open up a wee bit more at longer range though. Bis mags doing well! Not sure if it's my eyes but ftt's look pretty tight? Quote Link to post

Yes you are right Jonnie, just not quite as clean a hole as some but a 5p coin covers all but AA Field and RWS Super Field as I have just checked and found out. Phil 1 Quote Link to post
si brown 8,486
its good fun testing pellets and doing crono strings, it gives you confidence in what your using! and whats good for one gun may not be good for another of the same make and barrel. the last pcp with a 177 walther barrel liked rws super field and the tx spat them out all over the place, same barrel apparently... but is spot on with aa diabolo's. done loads of testing with a hw100 in 22, aa diabolos and superdomes are the only ones i can get to group! what mark said to me was spot on, if i put anything else down the barrel its a pull through cos nothing will group again! end of pellet testing for a while till i fancy a change and i can't see it being any time soon cos the 100's performing ace now 1 Quote Link to post
andykllhr 91
What size of JSB Exacts are you using? I only ask cos my pal is using 4.50 and I am convinced that 4.51 would be better? 1 Quote Link to post
David.evans 5,323
Even 4.52 Andy just little bit tighter well worth a try mate That's all I use to,great effect Atb 1 Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,558
Asked a good few of the lads down the range what they are using through their 100`s and the majority was AA Fields 4.52. I can castrate a mosquito at 35 yds with this kt 100 with the AA Fields "only" barrel. (one pellet, one barrel rule) atb. p.s. My HW 100 ks .22 is now producing "one hole" groups at 28 yds using F,A,P. Long range is tightly grouped also. Quote Link to post
andykllhr 91
We tried AA field 4.52 in his at the weekend, was like a shotgun, I have some 4.51 so will try them. Thanks guys 1 Quote Link to post
philpot 5,005
The JSB Exacts in the test according to the label on the back of the tin are 4.53. I will have to measure them. Quote Link to post
andykllhr 91
Ok, I'll tell him to get a 4.53 sample pack and try them. Thanks philpot Quote Link to post

Perhaps it is worth trying some 4.52 Mark but the 4.51 are nothing short of garbage in my barrel. Phil Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,558
Surprised me that has Phil, i`m sure some of the lads will give their thoughts. I am getting excellent groups with 4.52. Andy was your mate`s barrel cleaned spotless first and then leaded up before your group tests ? atb Quote Link to post
andykllhr 91
it's only a couple of months old and probably only had a tin and a bit's worth of pellets through it, he was given 4.50 exacts with it and that's what he's been using. I'm just sure that the groupings (20mm at 35 yards with bipod) could be bettered, I would have thought it should be pellet on pellet at that range? Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
I would seriously test those Bisley mags out to range, certainly a brilliant group at 25. 2 Quote Link to post
philpot 5,005
To be honest, I simply have not had the time or the weather/winds have been an issue. Hoping to get to the outdoor range next week but I want to get hold of some JSB Heavy to try as I have heard a few people say they work really well in the HW100 in .177 I am impressed with the bisley mags and never really gave them much consideration in the past, could be a big mistake on my part. I find it amazing how each gun of the same make and model can give such different results from another similar gun. Phil Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,558
AA Fields 4.52, 8.4 grain with the T Rex Quote Link to post
