There are some shocking comments here.   These days chipping your dog is cheaper than a box of smokes. If you value your dogs get them chipped and don't worry if they "Don't make the grade" or not.

When's the compulsory chipping of garden shitting cats taking place.

The one pro to me is my dogs get lost out in the field there's a big chance they will be found..and handed back to me.. Or the Mrs as there in her name in case the shit hits the fan

All my lot done when they were pups. Ive had dogs chipped since it first became available. Atb

so what happens when they don't make the grade? Or do you just pass them on
what different does it make if it's chipped? Most people put the dogs to sleep if no good. Better than passing them on.

I won't be having my dog done until I'm stopped and il get it done on the 21day warning.

The new law actually states if cought without a chip in the dog you will be given up to 21 days to get the dog done if on the checkup it's still not done a fine of 500 can be issued so until cought ill be waiting but for those who arnt waiting pets at homes have it on offer until the 15th a tenner but some dog charity's are doing them for free

We've had all of our done, over the years, from around 10_ weeks old. I don't give a stuff about the law, I see it as our only hope of getting them back if they get lost.

It won't stop backyard breeders, accidental litters or tattooed f***wits with aggressive dogs but that's not why I have it done !

It can only work if we let it work. It should not be compulsary.. If it doesnt stop backyard breeders and f..kwits why should we support it if we dont want it. What if some farmer says your dog has just cost him 25 grand because youre dog has stopped his free range hens laying by running around his field?

Poachers pocket..Have you had much experience of things getting messy?

To all who seem to think its great because you can get it cheap....what if in a few years it jumps to £50 a dog...governments always looking for new taxes, this could be a nice little earner.

Fine if you thought it was a good idea before,Im not having a go at you,but if its such a good idea why do we have to be made to do it. They have only just made criminals of us decent hunting people with our dogs, now this is just another chip at your freedom.

. Many moons ago I had a little feud a going on local cop trying Nick me and my jukel was no way could he have me but hey guess what he had me no dog licence a meagre thirty seven pence peanuts. The fine thirty quid through post . A mere chipping offence can lead to other unwanted fines simples . So has for how much cost of chipp the cheaper the better Atb bunnys
