Moxy. If I thought for one minute that one of our pals would get hurt then I wouldn't use it. After your comment, I've been and rubbed my fingers vigorously up and down the mesh and to be honest haven't a problem. Still got all my digits. Lol. I guess there must be loads of alternatives out there so am now looking for the rubber coated expanding mesh. Any ideas pal??

I think its a great little box, just thinking there could you use a small piece of perspect plastic and drill a load of holes in it

well I have had box out a couple of time just to get ferrets used to it and have had no issues of yet! and one of my jills is a right scratcher.

 

I personally wanted this box with that mesh on it so jok sorted me out im pretty sure he would build it exactly to individual specification.

 

all in all he built me exactly what I wanted, so im made up

Well you guys. As the people who have one know, it's £35 including courier. I can't be more honest. Must be said that they are probably worth a lot more but semi retired and with a bloody great workshop, what else do you do.? I like making these smallish projects so if you want something specific then just ask. If I can I will.

Gaz popped round to pick up his ferrets. He's just had 2 weeks in South Africa shooting a few bits and pieces. Given me an idea for a lightweight treble box vented like the ferret boxes. Yet another variation. I'll have to contact Amazon soon. Haha.

It don't matter what I like. It's your box. And you asked for input. Which I gave.

Yes the expa mesh is soft to the touch. On the outside. It's the inside of the perforation which is sharp.

The thinner gauge plate/mesh you go. The sharper it becomes.

You may never have a problem. Who knows?
