when I contacted him he said...."I thought you may ask for one of these so I have already made it!" so I had no waiting time at all. if that's isn't service I don't know what is!!!

it arrive and I cannot stress enough the quality of the build with this little box! its amazing! and the other thing I cannot stress enough is the weight...........or lack of it.

it weighs nothing at all. pics don't do it justice but in conclusion.......

mate what he asked for it was almost insulting as I work in a builders merchants and I don't think I could buy the raw materials for what he charged me for the little box, and thats without his time.

Smart that is mate. Jok is a diamond and his boxes are top notch.   A couple of my own Jok boxes...

Point taken Moxy. One train of thought was loads of air and light which would stop them clawing at air holes. Another, loads of air holes for them to claw at, and at the moment ,finally, a mesh screen inside and around the air holes which kind of defeats point 1. Then our local keeper suggested a kind of midway expanding mesh, literally half of the front. As they say, you can't do right for doing wrong but am open to all constructive comments. In the meantime I'm still making a few. Jok.

I looked into using the stuff. For both boxes and hutches etc. The perforations where the mesh is split and expanded are razor sharp. Just like a cheese grater!!

Nothing wrong with playing with ideas

Moxy. If I thought for one minute that one of our pals would get hurt then I wouldn't use it. After your comment, I've been and rubbed my fingers vigorously up and down the mesh and to be honest haven't a problem. Still got all my digits. Lol. I guess there must be loads of alternatives out there so am now looking for the rubber coated expanding mesh. Any ideas pal??

To be honest I never continued looking. I don't know if there is a plastic coated version but you could always get it dipped yourself.

Problem will be if you plastic coat that small holed stuff it may block the holes too much and be a pointless task??

Back to basics. A lightweight, ferret friendly, poachers box. All I'm doing is a hobby which hopefully helps our many friends on the forum, for as little as can be expected. If anyone has other ideas that may help then please let us all know. In the meantime I'll continue with these little gems. Your comments, as always, are greatly appreciated. Jok.
