tillylamp 1,830
for me, korkers sausages and mash,is my favorite, but i like the old food like my gran used to cook, like proper spotted dick, bacon and onion pud, meat pud, but all have to be made with suet, stew and dumplings, my mum was always cooking, apple pies, cherry pies, stewed apples and evaporated milk, rhubarb crumbles, good plain homely foods are the best, but i do enjoy a takeaway now and then, we've started to add some other foods now as my wife has arthritis, more anti-inflammatory foods like teriyaki chicken, turmeric chicken, and other spices that help, i make them myself, and i must say they taste pretty good,

Tiercel 6,986
Top of the list has to be good gravy. Roast, any meat from Mallard to sausages, and everything in between. Brawn. Stilton. A good cheddar Crispy chips. Corned beef egg chips and tinned tomatoes before you go out drinking on a Friday night. Cawl warmed up on a cold January morning for breakfast. Felinfoel faggots, mushy peas, boiled spuds and gravy in a bowl and eaten with a spoon. Young rabbit deep fried in beef dripping and eaten with a couple of rounds of bread and butter. Leek in a crispy cheese sauce, crumple a packet of crisps over the top of the cheese sauce. Ham and a mustard and parsley sauce, peas and potatoes. Pigeon breasts stuffed with a home made garlic and herb stuffing. The list is endless but it has to be home made. TC
