Qbgrey 4,208
My mate bought a house 7yrz ago and in the garden was a small but deep pond full of large koi.he's now moving and ask me if I want to take the koi.my question is.I have a pond about 2omtrs long by 10 mtrs, very deep with a liner.the water is not clear, itd fed of sewage bio tank system.I have bred carp, tench, goldfish, etc in here and they thrive, growing quick.would koi adapt in here,no pumps no filters,no nothing. gnipper 6,633
If everything else has done well in there there's no reason why koi won't.
sussex 5,802
Shouldn't be a problem , they live perfectly well in a farm pond at one of my permissions , no pumps no filters and they take a floating bait ...

Waz 4,279
Have a look at the koi stock ponds where they farm them in Japan, pea green! The carp thrive on it.

trigger2 3,211
they should be fine, if other fish have bred in there then the enviroment is right in your pool.
stevo79 569
No bother got them! Them koi ponds are only kept clear for your benifit to watch them in the clear water. They'd rather it like a Natraul lake or pond. Atb
