fireman 10,884 Posted April 14, 2016 Report Share Posted April 14, 2016 There's a hen near me right on the side of a ditch that is right next to a back lane,to be honest the chicks are destined to drop into the ditch when they hatch so or keeper is just setting a broody silkie x hen down on some china eggs and i'll be transfering the eggs from the phesant to under the hen in the next week..My 4 dogs walked right passed her and she never moved a musscle,it was her light colour that stood out for me to see her... 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I was talking to our club chairman last night and he reckons we'll be lucky to get hens for release this year. Nobody seems to have any for sale. They seem to be holding on to them for breeding.
