mole trapper 1,694
Bought one for my Mrs, trigger is appalling! Sent it to Welsh Willie, trigger now way better than the rest of the rifle. Hopefully selling it this weekend, have now got her a hw99s in .177, should have done it in the first place. Quote Link to post
PeskyWabbits 464
this is like the thread we had at Christmas. If you can put a bit more in, or go for something second hand, you'll get a much better product. You'll love your first gun regardless of what you have, mine was a scruffy BSA Meteor. If you start with something quality, you will learn the skills of a lifetime. This was the thread http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/351566-need-help-buying-an-air-rifle/ And you can get an HW99 for £200 http://www.ronniesunshines.com/weihrauch-hw99s-air-rifle If you start with a Weihrauch, you may still have it 20 years on. Rez 4,961
Mole. Mr willy said he'd looks at the trigger on a, basically, £100 stoeger? Fair play man. Quote Link to post

The rifle will still be crap, though. If it's the Stoeger scope in the bundle, that will be crap too. The mildot blobs are so big, you won't be able to see a small target at 30 metres. Go for a Weihrauch HW99s or HW30s and you won't regret it next week -- which you will do if you buy the Stoeger. The 30s can be delivered to your door from Holland for 159€ plus 20€ shipping, and you'd need to add a scope. https://www.db-schietsport.nl/en/air-guns/weihrauch-hw30s-45mm.html 1 Quote Link to post

PeskyWabbits 464
Or you can fit this and then have a wider choice of silencers. Check it will go over the foresight grooves though. Quote Link to post
