It is very sad, but she has 3 weirdo sons who live at home at their age who should have done something about it, not to mention not paying the rent. She's had 5 letters a week for 3 years, so it was hardly a surprise to them.

 

The housing trust could have handled it better, but her sons are the ones who need a kick up the arse. IMO.

yeah I agree,they had plenty of time to sort something out but to drill open the doors was a little harsh for an old gal,them sons want a bit of a slap for letting it go so far..sad at the end of her life shes to deal with that kind of thing,even though it was of her own making i suppose

I do have sympathy for her...but...it's taken 3 years of letters and numerous court visits...she's missed her rent. She has 3 younger sons...why havnt they helped her get sorted. You cant let people be nightmare tenants just because they are old...would you be on her side if she was a Muslim?

To right feel for the old yin but when I say old yin which one I mean the kids are 50 odd what the hell are they all still living in the same house Was watching a thing the other night about horders never knew how folk like that lived I mean how the hell do you keep so much crap that your home becomes a fire hazard her sons should of been helping the old woman out bloody lazy twats

unlike a lot of folk on here I have no hatred for any race,my daughters boyfriends eastern european,,,a nicer family you couldnt meet,she also works with lots of muslims,very kind and gracious people and over time proven to be very friendly and helpfull,,anyone of similar age needs to be handled with kid gloves even if she has 3 useless lumps of sons i think

I can understand keeping things as the May come in useful,but you got to draw the line somewhere,otherwise you end up like that trebus character on the old life of grime tv series,most the hoarders seem to be slightly tapped in the head.

I seen a documentary before on hoarders.an old fella had tunnels in the house because of so much clutter and while cooking he only had a tiny space to stand in.

Some of them can't bring themselves to even throw a plastic bottle away or a newspaper.

But as said they should of helped her years ago.

I understand it, It is linked to mental health and feeling secure. But if the house is a fire risk and it had gone up in flames...maybe with a young family next door...would you then be commenting about the poor old dear then...or saying feck me they had 3 years of notice!

The old dear was £200 in CREDIT with her rent, if you read the comments further down the page a neighbour explains they wanted her out because she was claiming her right to buy but the estate wanted full market value for the property, b*****ds should be ashamed

f***ing terrible, they can find money for court, solicitors and bailiffs but they can't find a few quid to just help her sort it out.

Her sons may be complete articles but in a world that can find money for black history month, heroin users, queers and every other assorted odd mark your telling me they can't spare a few quid for an old girl of 87?

The people on her street should be ashamed of themselves for not coming out in force to stop the police and bailiffs......I hope they are all proud !!!
